i bought this pillow at walmart today for $5. i bought it not only because of the claimed environmental benefits, but simply because it was the cheapest.
it seems like they've covered all areas in terms of the environmental claims on the package:
- packaging: biodegradable and begins to break down in a landfill in as little as three months
- pillow cover: made of cotton, bleached with hydrogen peroxide instead of harsh chemicals
- pillow fill: made of fiber made of recycled water bottles
too bad i can't find further info from the manufacturer online. and what the heck am i supposed to do with my old one? trash it?
